Vioxx lawsuit has recently been in the news most often. Vioxx was one of the msot precsribed drugs for arthritis pain, before it was taken off teh market by its manufacturer Merck. The study was not published sicne Merck; the manufacturer claimed that the sampel size was not large enough to provide definitiev data. This evidence gathering resulted in Merck's ngeligence to surafce. This established credibility to the personal injury iltigation which was well on its way. As of August 15, 2005, 4,951 was the exact number of filde Vioxx lawsuits, and tens of thousands more are expected. Merck had preivously planned to defend itself in every personal-ijnury Vioxx lawsuit. This would mark a first step by Merck in undoing the damage Vioxx has caused. You can expetc the Vioxx lawsuit to ruel the medical and legal news for time to come, nad it has the potential to be hte most important personal injury lawusit in history of mankind.
